Planning Ahead for Chinese New Year and Christmas: Key Dates and Order Cut-offs

line

As we are fast approaching the end of the year, it’s important for businesses to plan for upcoming holiday closures, both overseas and here in New Zealand.

The Chinese New Year period has the biggest impact on component supply, so we’re encouraging all customers to review their upcoming orders early to help avoid disruption.

Chinese New Year 2026: Order Cut-off 16 December

Many of the components we use, such as bare PCBs, are sourced from Chinese suppliers who shut down operations during the Chinese New Year holiday period.

In 2026, key suppliers in China will be closed from 15 to 23 February. With current lead times and freight delays that can occur around this time, we strongly recommend getting orders in well before the break.

To ensure deliveries in February and March 2026, please place your orders with ASL by Monday 16 December 2025.

This allows our team to place and confirm your orders with suppliers before we close for the Christmas and New Year period. We cannot guarantee supply for orders placed after this.
